Buon Ma Thuot to Lien Son was exactly what we needed to ease us back into riding after the rest day. At just 49km, it was the shortest day of the ride. So short in fact, that some riders didn't feel like our usual early start and set off in the afternoon instead. Both rides were fairly straightforward, and the scenery was reminiscent of some of the pre-Hue rides. The only casualty was the hapless Mike Tatarski, whose legs decided they'd had enough and seized up 15km into the ride.
Some were wondering why we were only riding 49km after a rest day, but those questions were answered when we arrived at Lak lake. Certainly a highlight of the trip so far.
