Pleiku - Phu Cuong Waterfall (65km)
A fantastic start to the ride. Sunny skies and Mr Biker led us through trails and villages to reach an impressive waterfall 65km south of Pleiku that can be viewed from the front and behind. The trails were a nature lover's delight with lots of rice, coffee, banana, sugar cane, bougainvillea and other wild plants along the route. Vivid colours, smells and sounds all the way. And each village we passed through greeted us with warm smiles and waves. A cultural and botanical treat!
In the evening, an inspiring visit to H2H partner Live & Give Thien An Orphanage for dinner, a tour and to meet the kids, who ended up putting on a show for us! 200 local children, mainly from ethnic minority groups are cared for by a team of Catholic nuns. Some of the children have severe disabilities. Such a happy atmosphere and so well organised. We came away proud that H2H is supporting this wonderful community. Positive energy for the rest of the ride!
