Went on my first practice ride the other day . . . .it was an amazingly, blazing hot day. But so awesome at the same time. After getting over the initial fear of "OMG! I'M GOING TO DIE!!!" because traffic in the city is insane, I settled into the relatively open comfort of the Nguyen Van Linh parkway.
It was also the first time I really had my bike out on a ride, so it was nice finally figuring out how to properly change my gears and when to do it. I definitely need to raise my seat up a bit more and attach a second water bottle, but other than that I think I'm settled up in the bicycle department.
During the ride I only had one other thought . . . . .thank goodness for padded bike clothing.
